About...
The great technological advances
of these last few decades have to a great degree
been made possible by the development of information
technology. No one can question the absolute dependency
on (and therefore the continual need for) modern
computer technology which exists in the various
economic sectors of any country. From business,
industrial, and service sectors, to the very process
of education itself, all of these concerns, motivated
by constant competition, demand new and better computer
applications to satisfy their management needs.
The unceasing evolution
of technology in the manufacture of new and more
powerful computers, the appearance of more and more
sophisticated software, the complex methodology
of development and design, computer networks and
"information highways", today make a rigorous
training in this area, along with a constant updating
on the very latest developments in the field, of
absolutely indispensable importance.
The programme which CENP
offers its students culminates in the presentation
of a final project revolving around some of the
areas studied and which will be evaluated and graded
by a panel of instructors.
Hands-on activities are
the central focus of this programme. An adequate
knowledge of computer concepts is not sufficient
if it is not accompanied
by a mastery of the computer
itself, enabling these concepts to be put in practice.
Available to the student of Information Technology
are computer laboratories equipped with modern hardware
and with a sufficient number of computers for each
student to be able to complete individually the
required computer language and software projects
included in the plan of studies. |
